Abstract

Literary opus of Milan Milišić (1941-1991), author of, in our opinion, one of the best collections of Serbian (and Yugoslav) poetry after the Second World War, Zgrad (1977), which is not bypassed by any relevant anthology of contemporary Serbian poetry in the past three decades, as much as has passed since the tragic death of the poet himself during the shelling of Dubrovnik, he remained in the shadow of something that could be described as the "Milišić case". The poet's destiny darkened his literary work. Thus, writing about Milišić in the designated period in the Serbian public (and to a large extent in the Croatian public) mainly was commemorative. This author is mentioned mainly among friends and generational friends. His views on his poetry and the number of new interpretations have not changed much and multiplied concerning those written and uttered during Milišić's life.
