Among the new books about Andrić, one deserves special attention, both for where it comes from and what it brings about Andrić. The book in question is Andrić's poetics with the subtitle Behind the Scenes of Narrated, which was formally published in Rijeka in 2021, but in all other respects, it is ultimately "Bosnian." Its author is Perina Meić, a literary researcher of the younger generation from the Faculty of Philosophy in Mostar, who, although more indirectly, shares with Andrić a close native origin, recognizable by his "friar stories," empathy towards the Franciscan tradition and permanent live contacts with Franciscan monasteries in central Bosnia. And their friars. Meić's wealth of that origin was fruitfully used by the privilege of being able to research unknown materials related to Andrić's life and literary creation, initially on the spot, in the Krešev Monastery.
