In this paper, we analyze the theme of exodus and chronotopes of the novel Parousia: Voices Under the Ferns by Slavica Garonja. The novel is seen as a component of the of Serbian modern historical prose in the methodological context of the „poetics of uncannyˮ (according to the terminological definition by David Norris). We show that, through the multi-layered modeling of the chronotopes, our recent historical prose, to which Slavica Garonja’s novel Parousia belongs with its theme of exodus, chronotopically has significantly expanded Serbian literary geography.
