Jovan Vorkapić, Serbian Folk Songs from Banija in the Former Military Krajina

The paper presents the contents of the manuscript collection „Serbian folk poems from Banija in the former military Krajina“ from 1890, collected by Jovan Vorkapić whose manuscript collection is written in Cyrillic and kept in the SASA Archive, as the part of the Ethnographic Collection. From a genre point of view, this collection consists of lyrical and epic lyrical folk poems that are being published for the first time, and testify to the continuity of Serbian folklore heritage in Croatia.
